Flyers lose to Caps 5-2

October 21, 2011

The Flyers jumped out to a 1-0 lead in the first when Claude Giroux scored on a break away for his fifth goal on the season, but that is about as good as it would get for the Flyers.

Washington tied the game, then took a 2-1 lead in the first and never looked back.

Sean Couturier scored his second career NHL goal in the third period, but the Capitals ad already put five on the board.

Center Alexander Ovechkin scored twice in the Cap's win.

The Capitals won by a final of 5-2, to remain undefeated so far. The Flyer's loss is their first in regulation this season.
