Briere now day-to-day

The Flyer's website is reporting that GM Paul Holmgren has upgraded Danny Briere's status from out indefinitely to day-to-day.

Briere participated in an optional practice on Monday, and has also participated in more contact drills the past few days.

In fact, head coach Peter Laviolette mentioned at practice that Briere is "able to go full practice."

Briere says that he is feeling good right now, and has already passed the baseline test. However, there is still no timetable for his return.

Tuesday night's game against the Islanders is an extremely unlikely time for his return, but could still be an option.
