Penguins top Flyers 6-4

February 18, 2012

The Flyers had a lot happening Saturday afternoon.

James Van Riemsdyk finally returned from his concussion, Jaromir Jagr returned from the flu, Danny Briere kept playing after leaving Thursday night's game with a shoulder injury, and Nick Grossman made his debut in orange and black.

That was all before the game. During the game, Eric Wellwood scored his first NHL goal, and Jaromir Jagr scored two to move closer to Luc Robatille on the all-time goals list.

Wayne Simmonds scored again to continue his hot streak.

And yet, the Flyers still struggled against the Pittsburgh, as the Penguins kept finding ways to score on first Ilya Bryzgalov, and then Sergei Bobrovsky.
