Lineup update, Nash rumors

February 16, 2012

Jaromir Jagr, who has been dealing with the flu, will not play tonight against the Sabres, according to a report by CSNPhilly.com's Tim Panaccio.

Eric Wellwood, who was originally recalled from the Phantoms to fill in for an injured Jakub Voracek, will be playing in place of Jagr.

Speaking of Voracek, he participated in the optional practice this morning. Panaccio believes that he will play tonight, but Voracek hinted at him playing being a near game time decision.

Voracek suffered an upper-body injury in Saturday's loss to New York, and missed Sunday's game in Detroit.

Fortunately, Voracek appears to be ready to come back tonight, and if not, in the near future.

Flyers not one of Nash's approved teams

Blue Jackets GM Scott Howson was in Philadelphia on Saturday, and spoke to Paul Holmgren. This lead to rumors that the Flyers could be one of the teams in the running for a Rick Nash trade.

The Columbus Blue Jackets have struggled all year, and are now looking to trade their captain after he gave the team his blessing to do so.

However, Nash gave a list of approved teams, according to CSNPhilly.com, and the Flyers are not one of them.

The Bruins, Kings, Rangers, Sharks, and Maple Leafs are the teams that Nash approved of.

Nash has a no-trade clause in his contract, but will waive it if Columbus can trade him to one of the teams he listed.

The trade deadline is on February 27.
