The Flyers have traded defenseman Kevin Marshall to the Washington Capitals for forward Matt Ford, according to the Flyer's website.
The 27-year old Ford is already assigned to play on the Adirondack Phantoms, which makes sense considering he has been playing for the Capital's minor league team, the Hershey Bear's.
Marshall, on the other hand, has seen time in the NHL this season. He has played in 10 games for the Flyers, dating back to his debut on November 21.
Ford has 10 goals and 18 assists in 39 games for Hershey this season. Marshall had two goals and three assists for the Phantoms in 32 games, but did not earn any points on the Flyers.
