Earlier today, forward Danny Briere and defenseman Nicklas Grossmann were announced to be missing time with injuries.

GM Paul Holmgren announced that Grossmann will be out 7-10 days with a lower-body injury.

CSNPhilly.com's Tim Panaccio reports that Grossmann has a knee injury, that he received when he collided with Pittsburgh Joe Vitale in Sunday's 6-4 win over the Penguins.

Holmgren announced that Briere is out indefinitely with an upper-back contusion.

Panaccio reports that Briere suffered the injury when Vitlae also checked him towards the end of Sunday's game.

Missing both players definitely hurts the Flyers, especially since it is getting very close to playoff time.

Grossmann has caused the Flyer's D to play a lot more aggressively.

Briere has had nine points in his last five games, and his line with Wayne Simmonds and Brayden Schenn scored five goals in the last two games.
