Lavi fined for outburst

One day after coach Peter Laviolette stood on top of the boards and yelled over at the Penguins bench in anger, the NHL fined him $10,000 for his outburst.

In the last few minutes of the third, the Laviolette took Max Talbot's hockey stick and broke it over the boards in anger, after Dan Bylsma sent out his fourth line to allegedly start fights.

Laviolette then climbed up on the boards and got in a shouting match with Pittsburgh assistant coach Tony Granato.

According to CSNPhilly.com, Granato also received a fine of $2,500.
