Here they are, the 2012 NHL Winter Classic jerseys

November 21, 2011

Like the headline says, here they are:

The unveiling was made Monday, inside the Phillie's clubhouse at Citizens Bank Park.

Chairman and Flyer's founder Ed Snider, general manger Paul Holmgren, and forwards Brayden Schenn and Blair Betts were there to make the unveiling.

The Flyers will be wearing their primary orange, like always, with black and white stripes on the sleeves and waist. The shoulder section of the jersey is black, and has the Winter Classic logo placed on the right shoulder.

Then there is something that has never been used for any Flyers jersey before; retro laces on the collar. Pretty nice touch don't you think?

Overall though , the jersey does look very nice (in my opinion at least).

There was one more thing revealed at the jersey unveling. Nameplates for each player on the team were placed under the nameplates of the lockers that belonged to players on the Phillies.

The 2012 NHL Winter Classic will be played on January 2, 2012 at Citizens Bank Park. The Flyers and the Rangers will face-off at 1:00 PM.

*Oh yeah, and remember the photo of the jersey I posted in my article annoucing the jersey unveiling? In case you did, I was wrong, that actually did turn out to be the design for the jersey. However, we did not have any way of knowing that until today.
