Pronger, Flyers looking for return next week

November 4, 2011

Flyer's captain Chris Pronger has been out with an eye injury since October 24, when he took a high stick to the face in a win against the Toronto Maple Leafs.

According to CSNPhilly.com's Tim Panaccio, Pronger has been participating in light skating exercises. Pronger is also wearing a visor, which he needed to wear as part of receiving medical clearance to play.

General manager Paul Holmgren said that Pronger's vision is back to normal. Holmgren also stated that the veteran defenseman will not play Saturday night.

Right now, Pronger is expected to return sometime next week. He has missed five games already, but Holmgren stated that,  “He’ll play when he is ready to play."
