Sabre's Kaleta suspended by NHL for head-butt

November 3, 2011
Sabre's forward Patrick Kaleta has been suspended for four games by the NHL, after he hit Jakub Voracek with a head-butt in the Flyer's 3-2 win over Buffalo on Thursday night.

Voracek told CSNPhilly.com's Tim Panaccio that he did not even know that happened.

“I didn’t even know he hit me in the head to be honest with you,” explained Voracek. “When I saw it on the replay is when I found out he head-butted me."

The NHL has been heavily cracking down on contact to the head this year, which could have very well been the reasoning behind Kaleta's suspension, whether he intended to do it or not.
